Apple has announced its all new M2 chip which will be the powerhouse of Apple MacBook Air M2 which will be available in the market from next month.

Features of apple m2 chip

The M2 chip is loaded with 8 core CPU and 10 core GPU, it is the second generation Apple Silicon M2 chip which is built on 5 nanometer based technology. The CPU of M2 features faster performance cores and enhanced efficiency cores, which means that Apple has worked hard on the core of this chip. Apple m2 chip is loaded with 20 billion transistors which is 25% more than apple m1 chip.

• According to Apple this chip will deliver 18 percent greater multithreaded performance than M1. chip but consume same power as Apple M1 chip.
• The Apple M2 chip delivers 35% more graphics performance than the M1 chip while consuming its maximum power.
• The M2 chip delivers the same performance as other 10 core CPUs using only one-fifth the power and twice the performance at the same power consumption.
• The M2 delivers 2.3 times faster performance with integrated graphics than the latest 10-core chip at the same power level.
• The M2 chip delivers 90% of the peak performance of a 12-core chip while using only one-quarter of the power
• M2 delivers 100GB/s of unified memory bandwidth which is 50 percent more than M1 chip, m2 chip can be configured with up to 24GB of fast unified memory.
