- Best for Windows 11 The Alder Lake processor will be Windows 11's best friend. Now it is not adapting to multi-core processors but in the future, they will be on their way after pressure from Microsoft. With the joint help of Intel and MS, Microsoft has worked very hard to support the new hybrid architecture of Intel Alder Lake because this architecture is brand new. Till now all the cores are of same power and capacity but now with hybrid architecture coming, the processor has to tell the OS that I have 2 types of cores one is P core and other is E core, which have to be used for given Work. For this, Intel has launched a Thread Director which is basically a hardware component that will monitor each core which core is at rest and which has load and how much power it consumes and it's memory access time. and what is the pattern so that it can efficiently inform the OS which cores they have to use for their requirements and thread shifting.
1st group is of low-powered cores that will handle low-power tasks such as browsing or playing videos, this group is known as Gracemont Cove.
2nd group is high-performance cores that will handle higher tasks such as gaming and editing, this group is known as Golden cove.
it will configure only in 5w of power due to its hybrid cores. and the single thread will give 20% more performance and will give double performance as per the multi-thread task.
these cores and threads are arranged in such a manner that golden cove will have 8 cores and 16 threads and gracemont cove will consist of only 8 cores and 8 threads.
